SSC CPO Exam Pattern 2023:
Staff Selection Commission conducts CPO Exam in four stages. Stage 1 is a Computer Based Written examination called Paper I. Candidates who clear first stage i.e. Paper I exam will be eligible for Physical Standard Test / Physical Endurance Test. Candidates clearing stage 2 will then be appearing for Stage 3 of the selection process. Stage 3 is again a Computer Based Exam called Paper II. At last candidates need to undergo Detailed Medical Examination (DME) which is the final stage of SSC CPO Selection.

SSC CPO Paper-1 Exam Pattern:
As we seen before SSC CPO Paper-1 is a Computer Based Test (CBT) with Multiple Choices Objective Type questions. Below is the pattern of examination for the Paper-1 exam.

SSC CPO PET/PST:
Candidates clearing the first stage of CPO Exam will undergo Physical Endurance Test and Physical Standard Test.
Physical Standard Test (PST):
The Commission conducts this test to examine the Physical Standards of the Candidates. Below is the minimum physical requirement for candidates based on their category.

Physical Endurance Test (PET):
The PET will have tests like running, long jump, high jump for both male and female candidates.
Male Candidates:
- 100 metre race in 16 seconds
- 1.6 Kms race in 6.5 minutes
- Long Jump: 3.65 metre in 3 chances
- High Jump: 1.2 metre in 3 chances
- Shot put (16 Lbs): 4.5 metre in 3 chances
Female Candidates
- 100 metre race in 18 second
- 800 metre race in 4 minutes
- Long Jump: 2.7 metres or 9 feet in 3 chances
- High Jump: 0.9 metres or 3 feet in 3 chances
SSC CPO Paper-2 Exam Pattern:
The Paper II of SSC CPO Exam 2023 will be conducted as per below pattern.

Note: Candidates need to be aware of below important notes before appearing for the SSC CPO Examination.
- Both Paper I & II will have Objective Multiple Choice Questions.
- Parts I, II & III of Paper I will have questions in both English & Hindi.
- Both Paper I & II will have negative marking of 0.33 for each wrong answer.
SSC CPO Medical Test (DME):
Candidates should fulfill below criteria in order to get selected for the Sub-Inspector vacancies.
- Near vision (minimum): N6 (better eye) and N9 (worse eye)
- Distant vision (minimum): 6/6 (better eye) and 6/9 (worse eye)
- Should not have knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in eyes
- Should possess high colour vision
- Should be in good mental and bodily health
