SSC:
Staff selection Commission offers a lot of job opportunities for candidates with 12th pass. SSC is a Government organization that recruits staff for various posts in government departments, various ministries and also in subordinate offices. It recruits candidates who just completed higher secondary for posts like Lower Division Clerks (LDC) and Data Entry Operators (DEO) etc., Candidates will also get good salaries for these posts from Staff Selection Commission.
Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) Exam:
Staff Selection Commission conducts Combined Higher Secondary (10+2) Level – CHSL Exam every year to recruit candidates for various government offices. The candidates selected through this exam will be posted as Lower Division Clerks – LDC / Junior Secretariat Assistant – JSA and Data Entry Operators – DEO. The educational qualification one has to possess to appear for this exam is 12th pass or equivalent from a recognized board. SSC also requires the candidates to be at least 18 years of age to attend CHSL exam. The maximum age for candidates shall not exceed 27 years as per the commission.
Stenographer Exam:
SSC also conducts stenographer exam for recruiting candidates who have just completed higher secondary as stenographers. Candidates are selected in two different grades through this exam which are Grade C & D. The commission selects candidates as Stenographers through Computer Based Online Exam CBT followed by Skill test. Aspirants have to pass both the tests in order to be recruited as stenographers. The candidates age must be at least 18 years to apply for this exam. The upper age limits differ based on the grades which are 30 years and 27 years for Grade ‘C’ and ‘D’ respectively.

Defence:
Candidates with +2 pass qualification can also find job opportunities in Indian Defence. All the three divisions of Indian Defence which are Indian Army, Indian Navy and the Indian Airforce provide job opportunities for candidates who are 10+2 pass. The armed forces recruit candidates with higher secondary as qualification for various posts.
Indian Army:
Indian Army recruits candidates through Technical Entry Scheme (TES)-48 for various ranks including Lieutenant, Captain, Major, Colonel, Brigadier etc., There are 11 different levels of posting available for candidates through this Technical Entry Scheme. The levels go all the way from Level 10 to Level 18. Some of the levels have subdivisions like A, B as well. The candidates who have passed 12th Examination or equivalent with a minimum of 60% marks aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics are eligible for this entry. The candidates should have obtained the 12th or equivalent from recognized boards. In addition to that, one more criteria candidates need to fulfill is, they should have appeared in JEE (Mains) exam. The age limit of those candidates should be between 161/2 years and 191/2 years.
Indian Navy:
Candidates with 10+2 pass are recruited in Indian Navy for posts like Sailor and Agniveer. The Indian Navy selects candidates for Sailor posts in Artificer Apprentice (AA) and Senior Secondary Recruits (SSR) categories. Both the categories require the candidates to be qualified in 10+2 exam with Maths and Physics as major subjects. Not only that, the candidates should have studied at least any one of the subjects like Biology, Chemistry or Computer Science. The age of the candidates for both AA and SSR categories should be between 18 and 21 years.
Indian Air Force:
Indian Air Force also selects candidates who are merely a 12th pass for its services. IAF recruits candidates with 10+2 or equivalent for Group ‘C’ Civilian category posts. The post for which higher secondary candidates are eligible under this category is Lower Division Clerk (LDC). The candidates should have passed the 12th standard from any recognized board to join IAF as LDCs. The aspirants also need a typing speed of 35 or 30 words per minute on computer in English or Hindi respectively. The candidates should also satisfy the age limits in order to apply for the LDC posts which are minimum 18 years and maximum 25 years of age.
Indian Coast Guard:
Not only in three divisions of Indian Defence, 12th pass candidates can also find job opportunity in Indian Coast Guard. The Indian Coast Guard recruits candidates with higher secondary or its equivalent for Navik posts in General Duty (GD) branch. The candidates applying for the Navik post should have passed 12th with Maths and Physics. The education board from which the candidates had completed the higher secondary should be recognized by the Council of Boards for School Education (COBSE). The Navik post also demands the age limit of the candidates to be between 18 and 22 years.
