Indian Oil Corporation Limited recruits Engineers through GATE exam every years. This year also IOCL has released the notification for recruitment of Engineers through GATE 2023. IOCL Engineer Vacancy Details 2023:

Indian Oil is yet to release the exact number of vacancies for this year’s recruitment, but the company has mentioned the disciplines in which the candidates will be selected which are as follow.,

Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates need to fulfill some of the eligibility criteria set by Indian Oil Corporation Limited in order to apply for the IOCL Recruitment through GATE 2023. Those are as follows:

1. Nationality:

Candidate must be an Indian National so that he/she can apply for this recruitment.

2. GATE 2023:

Candidates who are qualified in the GATE 2023 exam are only eligible for these vacancies. Also candidates must have qualified from anyone of the disciplines as mentioned below with their codes.

3. Age Limit:

The upper age limit of the candidates applying for the IOCL Recruitment through GATE 2023 should NOT exceed 26 years of age as on 30th June 2023. However candidates belong to certain categories are eligible for age relaxations in the upper age limit as below.

• General / EWS: No Relaxation
• OBC (Non Creamy Layer): 3 years
• SC/ST: 5 years
• PwBD: 10 years
• Ex-Servicemen/Commissioned Officers: As per Government of India guidelines

4. Educational Qualification:

Candidates should posses a degree in B.Tech. or BE or Equivalent obtained from Institutions or Colleges or Universities or Deemed Universities as Full-time Regular course duly recognized by AICTE/UGC in anyone of the following disciplines:

Chemical Engineering: Candidates should have completed B.E, B.Tech or equivalent in Chemical, Petrochemicals, Polymer. Plastic Engineering (excluding Rubber, Oil, Paint Technology, Surfactant Technology, Ceramics Engineering)

Civil Engineering: Candidates should have completed B.E, B.Tech or equivalent in Civil Engineering (excluding Construction, Environmental, Transportation Engineering)

Computer Science & Engineering: Candidates should have completed B.E, B.Tech or equivalent in Computer Science and Engineering, Information Technology Engineering (excluding Information & Communications Technology)

Electrical Engineering: Candidates should have completed B.E, B.Tech or equivalent in Electrical, Electrical & Electronics Engineering (excluding Electrical & Communication, Power, Telecommunication Engineering)

Instrumentation Engineering: Candidates should have completed B.E, B.Tech or equivalent in Instrumentation, Electronics & Instrumentation, Instrumentation & Control Engineering (excluding Electronics & Communication, Telecommunication Engineering)

Mechanical Engineering: Candidates should have completed B.E, B.Tech or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering (excluding Automation, Automobile, Industrial, Manufacturing, Power, Production, Mining Engineering & Technology, Mining & Machinery, Marine Engineering, Robotics, Welding etc.)

IOCL Recruitment through GATE 2023 Selection Process:

Indian Oil selects candidates for the Engineer / Officer posts through GATE 2023 in three steps which are as follow:

• Marks in GATE 2023 exam
• Personal Interview (PI)
• Group Discussion (GD) & Group Task (GT)

IOCL Salary through GATE 2023:

• Candidates selected as Engineers / Officers through GATE 2023 will be eligible for a starting monthly basic pay of Rs.50,000/-
• The scale of pay of the candidates will be Rs.50,000 – Rs.1,60,000
• Candidates will also be eligible for Dearness Allowance and other allowances as per rule.
