RBI Grade B Notification 2023: 291 Officer Vacancies

RBI Grade B Notification 2023 is released by Reserve Bank of India for the post of Officers in Grade B. RBI has issued the detailed advertisement notification regarding the recruitment on 9th May 2023. This is a direct recruitment for Grade B Officer posts for a total of 291 vacancies. The candidates selected through this process will be on probation for the initial phase of 2 years. RBI has set some eligibility criteria for this post, therefore it advices the interested candidates to go through the criteria before applying for the post online.

RBI Grade B 2023 Overview:

Reserve Bank of India recruits eligible candidates for Grade B Officer Posts as Direct Recruit(DR) on Probation(OP) for General, DSIM and DEPR streams. The recruitment process is for the panel year of 2023. Candidates need to apply online only through the bank’s website. The online application starts from 9th May 2023 and ends on 9th June 2023. • Phase I – Online / Written Examination
• Phase II –  Online / Written Examination
• Interview

RBI Grade B Eligibility 2023:

Reserve Bank of India has put together a series of criteria for candidates who wish to join them as Grade B Officers based on Nationality, Age Limit and Educational Qualification. Below are those criteria which candidates can go through to check whether they are eligible for the post.

1. Nationality:

The applicant should be either a citizen of India, or a subject of Bhutan or Nepal, or a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India, or a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Note: The migrant applicant should produce a certificate of eligibility issued by the Indian Government.

2. Age Limit:

The lower age-limit for the applicants must be 21 years of age as on 01.05.2023 and the upper age-limit is based on the category the applicant belong to as mentioned below.

3. Educational Qualification:

Candidates are required to posses below minimum educational qualification as directed by Reserve Bank of India.

i. Grade B Officer – General:

• Any graduate or professionally or technically qualified equivalent to graduation with 60% (50% in case of SC/ST/PwBD candidates) of marks or post graduate of any discipline with 55% (mere pass in case of SC/ST/PwBD candiates) of marks as aggregate.

ii. Grade B Officer – DEPR:

• Any post graduation with Economics or (Quantitative, Mathematical, Financial, Business, Agricultural, Industrial Economics) as discipline.
• Post graduation in Finance or (Quantitative, Mathematical, International, Business, Banking and Trade, International and Trade, Project and Infrastructure, Agri Business Finance or Quantitative Techniques).

iii. Grade B Officer – DSIM:

• Any post graduate with Statistics, Mathematical Statistics, Mathematical Economics, Econometrics, Statistics & Informatics, Applied Statistics & Informatics as discipline.
• Post graduation in Mathematics or post graduate diploma in Statistics.
• Post graduation or Four years Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Big Data Analytics from recognized university or AICTE approved programme.
• Two years Post Graduate Diploma in Business Analytics (PGDBA).

• Login with Registration no. and password. (Register if you are a new user)
• Fill the application form completely without any mistakes
• Upload scanned copies of your photograph, signature and all the supporting documents.
• Pay the applicable fee and submit the application form.
• Take print out of the online application form in case you need it for any further reference.
